Basseterre is the capital city of St. Kitts, where cruise ships dock at the Port. This is considered the downtown area of St. Kitts, containing most of the banks, office buildings, and various retail stores. Cruise passengers can collect taxis or tour rides directly from the Port and decide which direction they would like to travel. Traveling West heads towards Brimstone Hill, Sky Safari Zipline, and Caribelle Batik, while East is one of the most popular routes heading towards Frigate Bay, Timothy Hill, and the scenic drive to the Southeast Peninsula and Cockleshell Bay.
